Youth Leadership
The Lead Changemakers must be under thirty years old and in someway be leading and supporting other young people to take social action. They must be ready to facilitate the creation of teams of young people working on innovating and implementing solutions. This can be done through the structure of a personal venture, as an intrapreneur in a larger organization, or through a company initiative.
Commitment to an Idea
The Lead Changemakers must be passionate about the idea that every young person is capable of and should have an opportunity to empathetically engage with society to create change. The Lead Changemakers should be familiar with the personal transformation that takes place on the path of changemaking.
Creativity
Successful Lead Changemakers must be creative both as goal-setting visionaries and as problem solvers capable of engineering their visions into reality. It is important for us to know if a young person has a vision of what she or he could do to create a social ecosystem that will provide every young person an opportunity to experience changemaking.
Entrepreneurial Quality
An entrepreneur is possessed by an idea, and is capable of seeing opportunities where others would see challenges, constantly innovating along the way to make their vision come true. An entrepreneur needs to inspire others, build and lead teams. People with entrepreneurial qualities have started and led things their entire lives (From student clubs and community gardens to their own organizations and enterprises)
Ethical Fiber
Lead Changemakers are introducing new social frameworks and have to ask a lot of people to change how they do things. If they are not trusted, the likelihood of success is significantly reduced. Candidates will be questioned for these qualities rigorously. The essential question is: 'Do you trust this person absolutely?'
