Marketing a CSO idea

Literacy became an exciting concept when Aamir Khan was narrating a story to an auditorium full of children. He had launched 'Storytellers', a new product of Ashoka Fellow Brij Kothari's Puducherry based BookBox. These animated stories use Same Language Subtitling (SLS), a concept that helps children relate to phonetic sounds with visual subtitles while accelerating the development of their reading skills.

Sharing Expertise

Ashoka supported Fellow Sharad Sharma's international exchange to Brazil, where he conducted comics workshops with four Ashoka Fellows' organizations. The exchange helped Sharad understand the state of development in Brazil and replicate his methodology of using Grassroots Comics as means for development communication.
