Youth Venture has initiated a series of youth venture challenges, which will be hosted annually in major metropolitan areas across India.  The first of these, the Mumbai Youth Challenge, will be launched in June 2007.   

The Mumbai Youth Challenge will run annually and provide a community-wide platform through which young people between the ages of 17-25 will be able to launch their own social ventures.  Through the Challenge youth will form teams, deepen their ideas, receive coaching from leading social entrepreneurs, prepare action plans, present their plans to community leaders, and receive seed funding.  After launching their ventures, teams will be connected with a growing community of changemakers across their city.   As this movement grows across India, Youth Venture will work with colleges and rurally-based civil society organizations to develop similar initiatives that support youth to start up their own social change ideas.
