What We Do and Where We Work
What we do
The strategy to spread our vision of competitive partnerships between the business and citizen sectors has 3 facets:
Demonstration Projects
Designing and implementing Hybrid Value Chain™ partnerships to test and validate our theory of sustainable change;
Distilling Innovations
Continually refining our understanding of social innovations to serve the needs of low-income citizens to be able to design the right kind of partnerships;
Marketing the Hybrid Value Chain™ concept
Convening and attending symposia and discussions to engage thought leaders, developing a learning community and spreading our vision.
For more information about these activities, or to engage with us in our learning process, please .
Where we work
Geographic scope
Mexico, Brazil and India are our priority countries. Our full program including pilot projects is deployed in Mexico and will be in India and Brazil by June 2006.
Industry scope
In order to maximize our social impact and to leverage our limited resources, Hybrid Value Chain™ pilot projects involving Ashoka will focus on affordable housing and shelter, healthcare and productive technologies (including irrigation).
It is also our objective to foster an active community of business and social entrepreneurs developing and implementing Hybrid Value Chain™ partnerships beyond these three specific countries and industries. We encourage you to if you are interested.
